Blueberry Simple Syrup Lemonade
Ingredients for
blueberry simple syrup:
1 cup sugar (200g)
1 cup water (250ml)
1 cup fresh blueberries (148g)
Directions for simple
syrup:
1.
Add the sugar, water, and blueberries in a sauce
pot and start it out on high.
2.
Let it boil for about 2 minutes or until the
water turns a purple color.
3.
Bring the temperature down to a simmer and let
it simmer for 10 minutes.
4.
Take it off the heat and let it stand for 10
minutes.
5.
Use a wire mesh strainer and strain the simple
syrup into a glass bottle. *
6.
Put into the fridge to cool down.
*I strained my syrup first into a two cup glass liquid measuring
cup, that had a bowl underneath to catch any run off from pouring. I then
poured it into a glass bottle. This way was so that I didn’t make a complete
mess.
